IRIX Polska - optics selection checklist 1. Application - What is being built: camera, UAV payload, electro-optical head, vision system, measuring device, production line, observation module or R&D demonstrator? - What should the optics do: observation, inspection, measurement, image recording, mapping, quality control, sorting or image analysis? 2. Sensor and image - Sensor format, resolution, pixel size and manufacturer if known. - Expected field of view or focal length. - Working distance and observed object size. - Spectral range, transmission, filtering, distortion, sharpness and contrast. 3. Solution type - Existing IRIX lens or another specialist lens. - Lens element, optical group, filter or component for integration. - Mechanical adaptation or OEM variant. - Custom optical design. - Optical function control, calibration or module software. 4. Mechanics and integration - Mount, available space, mass, dimensions, adapters and housing constraints. - Integration method in the device, head, camera, payload or test bench. - Does the optics need to work with existing electronics, mechanics or a control system? 5. Operating conditions - Temperature, vibration, moisture, dust, mobile use, outdoor or stationary operation. - Requirements for resistance, documentation, qualification and validation. 6. Project and delivery - Project stage: concept, prototype, tests, upgrade or production. - Volume: prototype, short series, serial production or initial inquiry. - Are NDA, datasheet, drawing, 3D model, sample or technical consultation required?
